STOMPERS GET REVENGE WITH 8-0 WIN OVER LEGENDS

By Stompers Staff

The Sonoma Stompers bounced back after a tough loss on Saturday night with a resounding 8-0 win over Melo Park Legacy. The Stompers hung a three-spot in the fourth inning led by third baseman Luke Rossi’s two RBI double. Sonoma kept the offense going in the fifth when Rossi knocked in another two runs with a double.

The pitching staff turned in a great effort in its own right with six Stompers pitchers combined to shutout Menlo Park. Tyler Looney started striking out six over three innings before Evan Sandoval (W) pitched a scoreless fourth. A slew of other Stompers relievers finished off the final five scoreless innings.

The Stompers have back-to-back off days before they take on the Novato Knicks on Wednesday, June 5th at 6:05. Sonoma took the first two games of the season against Novato. Come out to Arnold Field on Wednesday or tune in to the game on Sonoma Stompers Youtube!
