STOMPERS DROP THEIR FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON

By Stompers Staff

The Sonoma Stompers fell to the Menlo Park Legacy 15-4 in the first game of the weekend series. The Legacy exploded for seven runs in the third and four more in the fourth. Six straight two-out hits headlined the Legacy’s offensive outburst in the foruth. While the Stompers offense struggled, catcher Jack Vanoncini delivered the only big hit with a two-run homer to left-center in the fifth. Jesus Menguia took home the win for the Legacy while Brett Mallett suffered the loss.

Sonoma aim for a series split with the Menlo Park tomorrow at 6:05, come out to Arnold Field or catch the action on Sonoma Stompers YouTube.
