Stompers Offense Explodes For 19 Runs In Win Over Knicks

The Sonoma Stompers picked up its first fourth win of the season thanks to an offensive explosion. The Stompers took down the Novado Knicks 19-4. Sonoma scored 18 runs combined in the second and third innings. Third baseman Tyler Holly blasted a grand slam in the second inning to break the game open. 

Meanwhile, starting pitcher Bryant Thornton was solid again. Thornton only gave up one run in four innings while also tallying four strikeouts. Patrick Atkinson (W) followed suit with two scoreless innings. The Stompers did not allow any runs from the 2nd to 8th inning. 

The Stompers are back in action tomorrow when they hit the road to take on Walnut Creek. First pitch is set for 4 pm. You can catch the game on our Mixlr. That can be accessed through our website.
