The Sonoma Stompers finished off a two-game sweep of the Novato Knicks with a resounding 10-run win. The offense exploded for seven runs in the second inning, led by two RBI singles from left fielder Cuyler Zuckowski and left third baseman Brady Boyd. Zuckowski would add another two RBIs in the third to close out four runs batted day out of the three-hole. Ben Giovannetti tacked on an RBI double in the fifth.
The Stompers pitching staff was great yet again, allowing just two runs neither of which were earned. Jake Tirk struck out five in three shutout innings to open the game. He was followed by Carson Glavich (W), Dylan Burke, and Garrett James none of them allowed an earned run.
The Stompers host the Menlo Park Legacy tomorrow at 6:05, come out to Arnold Field or catch the action on Sonoma Stompers YouTube.
