4 Homerun in Sonoma in the Wine Country Showdown

The Healdsburg Prune Packers traveled to take on the Sonoma Stompers in the Wine Country Showdown at Arnold Field. 

The scoring would begin in the fourth inning. Healdsburg would get on the board when a fielder’s choice scored Will Hodo. For the Stompers, their run would come on a solo home run from Xabier Iparraiguerra that traveled 383 feet to left-center field.

The Stompers would then take the lead in the fifth inning on a Tyler Martinez home run.

The Prune Packers would score one run in the sixth inning on an RBI single to tie the game and two runs in the seventh on a two run home run from Hunter Dorraugh and a solo home run from Cameron Nickens.


The Stompers would end up losing the game 5-2. The Stompers will travel to Healdsburg tomorrow, July 1, for the second game on the three game series. Game three will be back in Sonoma with a 1:05 p.m. start time. Get tickets to the game at stompersbaseball.com
